is for children in Years 3 – 6 and meets in
term time each Friday from 6.30pm to 7.45pm in the halls around the church. In one hall we
usually have a wide selection of electronic e.g. Play Station, and board games; other games
ranging from three-dimensional Snakes and Ladders, Twister, Guess Who and Scrabble; in
another hall we play football (when it's too wet or dark to go outside), non-stop cricket,
skipping and other active games. We have occasional drama sessions and trips out.
We regularly aim to have a short talk or video presenting the Christian message,
with some craft work relating to the theme.
We try to have good contact with the children's parents, and encourage them to
come to social activities organised by the church.
Covies is aimed at young people in Year 7 and above
and meets each Friday 7.30 – 9.00pm in term time. We play table tennis,
snooker, pool, table football, and Supa–Hok; also a play station with various games
including a dance mat and Nintendo Wii.
We have conversations about the relevance of Christianity and try to understand how
it is applicable to our lives at school and home.
